I love both the purple of amethyst and the sunny gold of citrines. Ametrines are a variety of quartz which combine the colors of both amethysts and citrines. This gemstone is primarily mined in Bolivia.
The amethyst, some say, is a 'power and protection' stone. The citrine, also known as Spanish topaz, is known as the 'Lucky Merchant Stone'.
